A Competition – entry nr. 18

Thursday afternoon
For centuries, women have been struggling for male attention. I’m ready to turn the tables and be the one getting the attention. I think we need to turn the tables because the female and male roles society has to offer nowadays are too simple and restrictive.
For women:
- Lady Marjorie = mother and caretaker
- Lady Macbeth = dominatrix
- Carla Bruni = trophy
For men:
- The Boss = father and authority
- The Lion from The Wizard of Oz = cowardly lion
- George Clooney = trophy
And we must choose. But my dreams and desires can only be fulfilled by me being a blend of all of those archetypes and him being a blend. Presently a lot of us are doing that and stressing ourselves to the max to accomplish it all. What if, we just decide to use this new model and fulfil different needs with different people? Or find a whole other new model? – or several new models? It must be models where the intimate encounter is precious, because a fullfilling erotic life has a transforming capacity. You relax, are happy, harmony reigns and you feel generous. Then you become eager for more and want your whole life to be like that.
Just went online to check for answers – 47 new! This is going swimmingly! And some of them are really good, even if the pompous PR percentage is staggering. It’s just not a turn-on for me. I want lust, pleasure, soulfulness… and not just to get laid. Respect my brains toooo, please, it makes it all so much better.
The many identical replies are a good indication that intelligent, lustful women still haven’t become a favourite cocktail in our society. Either you’re smart or you’re randy, and then you’re given a tag. And at the same time I find that sexual life is still primarily defined by men, with their masculine expressions, their images and their desires. Which means that when young people today go out and have sexual experiences, one or more of the parties involved are often under the influence of alcohol or drugs and both parties lack a nuanced, poetic language to figure out what they should try with whom. And then there are these stubborn male and female stereotypes leftover from the 1950’s – where lustful men are virile and lustful women are cheap. There must be a better solution.
I think it’s time for a contest. There is a myriad of powerful expressions for the randy man: stallion, hunk, studmuffin, Casanova, Don Juan. I can’t think of a single positive expression for a lustful woman. Just negative ones like slut, tart, man-eater, hussy, harlot.
Contest: Come up with the best positive name for a randy woman
Prize: A medal from www.p.k.andersen.dk and a date with me

Must reschedule a date with the journalist. He should be back soon. And Peter, the dental supply bloke. Then there are some other good candidates for talk-dates in those 47 new replies… must follow up on it, but now I need to cook something for my Mille, who’ll be home in 10 minutes… pretty time-consuming experiment…
